2021 Dodge Charger vs Kia Stinger

Everyone loves a good muscle car! After all, they are speed demons that burn up the track with their massive engines and come with all sorts of performance-enhancing features. Fans of these types of vehicles are always salivating whenever the next one comes out and for good reason. Two of the best out there for the 2021 model year are the Dodge Charger and the Kia Stinger. Both of these have amazing engines and wonderful technologically advanced features, but which one is the true standout? For the answer, we have compared these two legendary vehicles. Continue reading to see which one takes home the top prize!

2021 Dodge Charger Power & Handling

No matter what trim of the 2021 Charger you choose you are guaranteed a powerful and performance-enhanced engine. For the base SXT and GT, you get a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque which can be upped to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque with the rear-wheel-drive GT and the all-wheel-drive SXT and GT. Going with the R/T brings the first of several V8's. In this case, it's a 5.7-liter V8 that comes with 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Don't worry, we're not done! The Scat Pack sees a 6.4-liter V8 that pumps out an amazing 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. If that's still not enough power, you can always go with the SRT Hellcat! The Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes a pavement scorching 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. You will also love the Hellcat Redeye which uses the same engine but ups the horsepower to an amazing 797 and the torque to 707 lb-ft. All Chargers pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive. Through the SXT and the GT have an all-wheel-drive option if you choose.

2021 Kia Stinger Power & Handling

Unfortunately, only two engines are available for the Kia Stinger though both of them put a decent amount of power. The base GT-Line comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. All other trims come with a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 that has365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair nicely with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive, though all-wheel-drive is available on every trim level. While we like the power output that the Kia Stinger has it can't compete with the awesome, raw power of the Dodge Charger.

2021 Dodge Charger Features & Design

Thanks to its five trim levels, you are never short of choice when it comes to features for the 2021 Charger. The SXT is nicely equipped as it comes with17-inch wheels, keyless entry and ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GT adds to this with LED foglights, heated outside mirrors, 20-inch wheels, sport suspension, a function hood scoop, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. If you have your eye set on one of the top two trims, the Scat Pack or the Hellcat, you'll be treated with several performance features such as a limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes, heated steering wheel and front seats, an adaptive suspension, ventilated seats, leather-trimmed interior, and high-performance tires.

2021 Kia Stinger Features & Design

There are four trims available for the Kia Stinger and each comes with some nice features. The base trim is the GT-Line which comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless ignition and entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the GT gets you LED headlights, a limited-slip differential, ambient interior lighting, and front parking sensors. The top two trims are the GT1 and the GT2 which come with some interesting luxury features such as adaptive suspension dampers, automatic wipers, ventilated front seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, a sunroof, heated rear seats, and a digital instrument panel.

Conclusion:

While both of these muscle cars would make terrific additions to your driveway, we are going to give the victory to the 2021 Dodge Charger! The Charger has far more engine options that deliver impressive horsepower when compared with the Stinger and we also love all the wonderful performance-enhanced features it has.
