2022 JeepGrand Cherokee at Flagler Chrysler Dodge Jeep

After three decades of complete dominance, the Grand Cherokee has undergone a bit of a redesign in 2022. For years, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has offered a bevy of upscale features and impressive off-road capability, and that's all still around, but the 2022 Grand Cherokee imposes a slicker design both inside and out while coming with some advanced technology such as the latest version of the Uconnect that has speeds that are five times faster than the previous version. What has always separated the Grand Cherokee from the rest of the pack is its Trailhawk trim, and in 2022, it is even more advanced with features such as 8-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, steel skid plates, and an electronically disconnecting stabilizer bar. There is so much more that the 2022 Grand Cherokee can offer you. Continue reading below for all the details!

MONUMENTAL CAPABILITY

Quadra-Lift Suspension

Now with Electronic Semi-Active Damping, this Class-Exclusive available system automatically lowers the vehicle at highway speeds to achieve efficient aerodynamics. Plus, with Trailhawk® models, the driver can raise the vehicle when required for a maximum of 11.3 inches of ground clearance on rocky terrain or in deep snow.

New Sway Bar Disconnect

Standard on Trailhawk®, this feature is designed to handle extreme off-road conditions and challenging trails-allowing for impressive articulation and agility over rocks and rough terrain.

SAFETY AND SECURITY ARE PARAMOUNT

Night Vision

The available Night Vision uses high-tech sensors in the front of the vehicle to detect pedestrians and animals during nighttime driving. An image is displayed on the instrument cluster, warning you of what's ahead.

Drowsy Driver Detection

Standard on Summit, Drowsy Driver Detection tracks vehicle movement and driver interaction to spot patterns of drowsiness. If detected, the system can send the driver an audio and visual signal to take precautions.

What are the engine options for the 2022 Grand Cherokee?

The biggest news coming down the pipeline for the Grand Cherokee is its new plug-in hybrid. Like its Wrangler 4xe counterpart, the Grand Cherokee 4xe uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors to supply some additional power. This engine delivers an outstanding 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The setup comes with a 17-kWh battery pack and allows for up to 25 miles of all-electric range. If you're not into the 4xe, you still have several engines to choose from. The first is a standard 3.6-liter V6 that doles out 293 horsepower, and the second is an optional 5.7-liter V8 that kicks out up to 357 horses. One thing that the Grand Cherokee is known for is its towing ability. With the 4xe, you can haul around 6,000 pounds, while the V6 can pull 6,200 pounds, and the V8 7,200. These engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and can send power to the rear or all four wheels. There is nowhere the Grand Cherokee cant go with all this power!

Inside the 2022 Grand Cherokee

When you take a peek inside the cabin of the 2022 Grand Cherokee, you'll be greeted by a dashboard with a sharp-looking horizontal layout and comes with leather and wood inlays on the dashboard. Like its Grand Cherokee L counterpart, you can get the Grand Cherokee with the latest version of the Uconnect system that has five times faster speeds than the previous version and comes in brilliantly on a giant 10.1-inch touchscreen. With the Uconnect, you get some fantastic apps such as Amazon Fire TV and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, all trims of the Grand Cherokee come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel which can be outfitted with an additional 10.25-inch interactive display for the front passenger. Higher trims come with a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 10.1-inch displays located on the back of the front seats.
